Immerse yourself in the ultimate baseball experience with Baseball Seams Co. and Simply A Fan for an adventure to Des Moines to witness the Greatest Show in Sports as the Savannah Bananas take on their arch rivals the Party Animals. You are purchasing more than just a ticket, you are purchasing an adventure that will be an unbelievable experience for you and your family or friends who join you!
We are offering two tiers of packages that you can read more about below. With the Bananas typically not releasing tickets via their lottery until 60 days out, we are fortunate as a group to have secured our limited group block early so you don’t have to wait. Bananas Fun Fact – they have sold out every game since their inception in 2016!
Packages
We are offering two different packages as described below. We have a limited number of each package available to our fans and followers of Baseball Seams Co and Simply A Fan. Although the game is months away, we anticipate the packages will sell quickly. Also as you browse the packages, there are no extra taxes, fees or hidden charges at checkout. The price you see is the price you pay!
The All Inclusive Bundle of Bananas Package
This package is designed to take away all the trip logistics off you and let you just sit back, relax, enjoy time with your family or friends and let us get you there, put you up and bring you home! It includes charter bus transportation, one night hotel accommodation at the Embassy Suites Downtown Des Moines, your game ticket, a swag bag that includes event t-shirt, commemorative ticket, lanyard, sticker decals and more. The amazing family-friendly fellowship you will encounter on the bus ride is free of charge!
The cost below is per person and based on hotel occupancy rate. You will be able to select accordingly at checkout.
single occupancy: $449
double occupancy: $349 per person
triple occupancy: $309 per person
quadruple occupancy: $289 per person
quintuple occupancy: $279 per person (this is a fancy word for 5 people)
sextuple occupancy: $269 per person (an even fancier word for 6 people)
Hotel Accommodations
We will be staying at the Embassy Suites Downtown Des Moines. We have rooms with king + sleeper sofa and rooms that have 2 doubles + sleeper sofa. Breakfast is complimentary on Sunday morning, they have an indoor pool and fitness center, both which will allow you to work off some potassium before the game so you can re-load! Below is a tentative trip schedule that will be confirmed and sent to you weeks prior to the adventure.
Saturday, September 7th
8 a.m. – depart Sioux Falls from Scheels parking lot
11:00 – lunch TBD
2 p.m. – arrive Des Moines, check in hotel
4:00 – go to ballpark
5:00 – Banana Band Parade
5:30 – gates open
7:00 – first peel
9:00 – last peel + meet players
10:00 – return to hotel
Sunday, September 8th
10 a.m. – depart hotel
12 p.m. – lunch TBD
3 p.m. – arrive Sioux Falls
The Single Banana Package: $89 per person (SOLD OUT)
This package includes your game ticket and swag bag including event t-shirt, commemorative ticket, lanyard, sticker decals and more. You are on your own for transportation, parking, and hotel. There is a maximum of 8 tickets per transaction / party.
Seat Locations
As is the Bananas long standing tradition at minor league ballparks, all seats are general admission. You will be able to find seats together with your party and if you wish sit with other family and friends, just organize yourselves before the gates open.
Banana Bundle Giveaway
Once our tickets for these games in Des Moines are sold out, we will have a live drawing on Facebook using a randomizer to pull the winner. For every ticket you purchase, you will be given that many chances to win. The Bananas Bundle Pack will include the following items:
• an official Bananas jersey, your choice of white or yellow
• a yellow Banana ball
• a set of three Banana decal stickers
• a Jesse Cole’s autographed book, “Find Your Yellow Tux”
• a Split the mascot bobblehead
This all adds up to a $150 value that someone will get for free just for supporting our small businesses and joining us on the adventure with Baseball Seams Co and Simply A Fan! (See picture below; set of team baseball cards not included as shown in picture.)
Knowing that some of you may want to bring a larger group, there is a max limit of 10 tickets per transaction. If your situation warrants more, please email both markjent@simplyafan.com and nathan@baseballseamsco.com. Tickets are electronic and will be transferred a month before the game. In an effort to reduce scalping on the secondary market (StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats) the tickets will not be activated by the Bananas until 24 hours before the game. When buying tickets please read our Absolute No Resale Policy in the Terms and Conditions, per our agreement with the Bananas.
Our Previous Potassium Packed Adventures
Simply A Fan’s first adventure with the Bananas was June 2023 in Nashville when we had a massive record turnout of over 400 fans! It was our largest fanbase at a game in our five year history. Here is a link where you can read about that adventure: Potassium Level 436.
In 2024 we have organized and mobilized numerous fans in Tampa (February 10), Houston at Minute Maid Park (March) and outside of Atlanta in Gwinnett County (March 23-24). Each city is linked to a recap on our Instagram account.
Who Are The Savannah Bananas
As the Bananas say, “This isn’t your grandad’s pastime”. Banana Ball is a spectacle that transcends traditional baseball boundaries! The Savannah Bananas, known for their unique blend of entertainment and athleticism, will face off against their spirited rivals, the Party Animals. This matchup promises more than just a competitive game; it’s an immersive experience filled with trick plays, dance routines, and celebrity player appearances that add an extra layer of excitement to the night.
In recent years the Savannah Bananas have become a world-wide sensation known for their unique and entertaining style of play called Banana Ball. Based out of Savannah, Georgia, Banana Ball is a fast-paced and fan-focused version of baseball that aims to create a fun and interactive experience for spectators.
The game features various rules, such as no bunting, no walks, and a time limit on innings, all which keeps the game moving quickly. Check out the rules of Banana Ball here! The Bananas also incorporate exciting entertainment elements into their games, including dancing players and umpires, hilarious on-field promotions, and lively music.
