ADVENTURE SUMMARY
Join us in the Big Apple as the Mets retire Darryl Strawberry’s #18 on Saturday, June 1st at Citi Field! We will also be staying overnight and going to the game on June 2nd with other schedule add-ons each day. You can choose from the full package as listed below or a la carte options and just join us at either or both games.
Darryl Strawberry was my favorite player from childhood and is a huge reason I fell in love with the game of baseball at 9 years old in October 1986. Thanks to my parents taking me to ball games when I was a kid, I was fortunate to meet him a few times over the years. Fast forward 25+ years and I’ve met him several times in recent years and he is an impressive man who is accomplishing much more off the field in his ministry and service to others than he ever did by hitting the 335 home runs, being an 8 time All-Star or winning 4 World Series titles.
Last August the Mets announced that they would be retiring both Strawberry and Dwight Gooden’s numbers this season. See promo video below. (Gooden had his #16 retired on April 14th.)
Whether you are a Mets fan, a Darryl Strawberry fan, want to check Citi Field off your ballpark list or just have a weekend getaway to New York City, I’d be honored to help you make it happen! By purchasing from Simply A Fan (est. 2018), you support our small family business in Nashville. Our goal is to provide sports fans with opportunities to create incredible memories on adventures at ballparks, stadiums and other venues across the country.
