NLCS Game 1
Dodgers-Braves

After a shortened 60 game regular season and the first two rounds of the playoffs with no fans due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Major League Baseball opened the turnstiles up for the National League Championship Series between the Dodgers and Braves. It was not only the first MLB game of the year with fans in attendance, it was also the first game in the history of the Rangers brand new ballpark with fans in the stands. A double first! As most playoff trips are, this adventure was put together very last minute once the matchup was set. The four of us made it a 24 hour roundtrip journey from Nashville to Arlington (thx Southwest!) and were some of the first fans to enter the new ballpark. Due to social-distancing protocols, tickets were sold in pods of four and seating capacity was limited to only 11,500 fans. The Braves won 5-1, but the Dodgers game back to win the series in seven. It was a historic moment.
