The 2020 Schedule

With the turn of the calendar to a new year Simply A Fan is beyond excited to announce the 2020 Schedule! A slate of eight trips are on the docket as we shoot to average one per month from February through September. Additional opportunities will be announced soon by offering private charter bus day trips to Atlanta for church, civic and corporate groups. For now, check out the eight trips below, click on them for more trip details on each. Pick a trip, jump aboard a baseball adventure. Thank you for supporting us on this journey!

Dates:  February 14-17
Location:  Scottsdale, Arizona
Teams:  Vanderbilt, Michigan, Connecticut, Cal PolyTech

The Vandy Boys will begin the defense of their NCAA title in Arizona vs. runner-up Michigan on Valentine’s Day. This trip has already met it’s capacity goal, but we are making 10 more spots available for this adventure in six weeks. {click here for details}

MLB Opening Day
Dates:  March 25-26
Location:  Cincinnati, Ohio
Teams:  St. Louis Cardinals at Cincinnati Reds

Simply A Fan will be taking in it’s third consecutive MLB Opening Day (2018 ATL, 2019 CIN) as we venture to the Queen City for this two-day overnight trip. {click here for details}

Dates:  March 31-April 1
Location:  Arlington, Texas
Teams:  Anaheim Angels at Texas Rangers

New ballparks do open up very often and when they do it has a lot of pomp and circumstance surrounding the celebration of the ribbon cutting. This one game adventure to the Lone Star state will be historic as the Rangers play their first game at Globe Life Field. {click here for details}

Dates:  April 14-16
Location:  New York City, New York
Teams:  Atlanta Braves at New York Mets
Event:  Jackie Robinson Day

On April 15, 1947 just a few miles away from the Mets’ Citi Field, Brooklyn Dodger Jackie Robinson stepped between the foul lines and made history. Every year Major League Baseball celebrates Jackie as every player wears his iconic #42. Simply A Fan hopes to be there for this matchup as the Mets make a really big deal to commemorate the occasion. Braves fans – jump aboard to see your team in the Big Apple! {click here for details}

Dates:  May 22-25
Location:  Cooperstown, New York

Nestled in the mountains of central New York is the village of Cooperstown, population 2,000. Despite it’s quaint size and laid back lifestyle, the place comes alive a few times a year as the National Baseball Hall of Fame brings in thousands of people for events. The Hall of Fame Classic brings 30 recently retired players to Doubleday Field to play a game as they relive their glory days. The pinnacle of this four day trip is the Night at the Museum where the Hall of Fame sells only 250 tickets, locks the door and you get to walk the hallowed halls of the museum with six hall of famers who are in attendance for meet and greet opportunities. {click here for details}

Location:  Los Angeles, California
Teams:  American League at National League
Event:  Future’s Game, Celebrity Softball Game, MLB Play Ball Experience, Home Run Derby, All-Star Game

The mid-summer classic returns to Dodger Stadium for the first time in 40 years as the baseball world takes a break to bring the biggest stars together for mind-blowing events over this four day stretch. With pre-registrations already in, this trip has two spots left open to anyone who wants to experience the thrill of attending a HR Derby and All-Star Game. {click here for details}

:  August 12-15
Location:  Dyersville, Iowa & St. Louis, Missouri
Teams:  Yankees – White Sox, Pirates at Cardinals
Event:  MLB’s 1st Game at the Field of Dreams Movie Site

“If you build it, they will come,” will never be more true than this August when Major League Baseball invades the cornfields of Iowa as they bring the first game to the Field of Dreams. A home game for the White Sox, MLB is currently building an 8,000 seat ballpark adjacent to the actual to the field where Ray Kinsella tearfully uttered “Hey Dad, do you wanna have a catch?” This road trip from Nashville will have an add-on game in St. Louis on Friday before returning home on Saturday. Interest is extremely high for this trip with limited availability. {click here for details}

:  September 7
Location:  Atlanta, Georgia
Teams:  New York Mets at Atlanta Braves

This turnaround day trip from Nashville is open to any one who wants to get away on Labor Day to join us for this adventure to Suntrust Park. With a 4:20 first pitch the trip won’t leave too early and won’t get home too late! If you are looking for a solid way to support Simply A Fan, but a multi day trip is not you, this trip is designed for you. Only a $20 deposit secures your spot! {click here for details}
