A minimum 7 people are necessary for this trip to confirm, but as of October 2019, that does not look to be a problem based on the interest and demand thus far.

Airfare variable. Airfare is based on $325 roundtrip, a solid estimate if bought far enough in advance. Higher airfare cost will be passed on at no additional charge. Non-stop flights on Southwest are preferred, but not guaranteed.

Hotel variable. Hotel reservations have already been made and the quoted price range you see above is for double occupancy. The only variable for your trip cost is whether you want the double occupancy rate as quoted, or rather you would like single, triple or quad occupancy. Please inquire within for adjusted trip price range if necessary.

Events variable. If you would like to save money and not attend all of the listed events, we can adjust your trip cost by subtracting any portion of the All-Star Week events.

A la carte variable. The first priority for Simply A Fan is to sell the full trip package to 7 people. Once that goal is reached if you would like to join us, but do not require the full trip package, a la carte options are available for any thing you see listed – hotels, flights, tickets, etc…

HR Derby & All-Star Game ticket prices. Simply A Fan’s chief trip planner Mark Jent attended the All-Star Week festivities in 2015 when hosted by Cincinnati. Based on that experience in addition to tracking prices for the last four year’s worth of All-Star Week events, we have slotted a healthy chunk for the two most expensive components of this package – the HR Derby and the All-Star Game. Should tickets exceed the budgeted amount, you will be notified of that in advance of the trip. Tickets for both are “seats in the park” – the best possible given the allocated budget. Should you want to upgrade your seats, that is perfectly fine! Simply A Fan will gladly accommodate and pass on those extra costs with no additional charge.

To secure your spot you need to complete two steps.
(1) Register. Click on the red “Register” button at the top or bottom of this page to complete your trip registration.
(2) Deposit. On your registration you will be prompted to pay a $300 deposit by card or to be invoiced.

You will be invoiced your balance on April 1st, 2020. Deposits and payments are non-refundable, unless the trip does not make. If you have questions, please email Simply A Fan’s Chief Trip Planner, Mark Jent, at

Mark, I have tried registering a few times for the all star week event and keep getting an error. Please let me know what I can do to get registered. My father also tried to register and also go an error.

Hey Kevin! Sorry about that, not sure why that would be. I just went in and did it myself and it seemed to work okay. Had another guy register recently and his came through as well. Sometimes “cookies” could be preventing it from your computer. Maybe either try to clear the cookies, or try from a different computer, tablet or your phone.

If you still run in to issues, contact me and we’ll take care of it. Glad you’re aboard!
