updated 6/21 at 2pm with all accommodations confirmed
For Sunday night accommodations in Kansas City, we will be staying at the Hampton Inn – Kansas City Airport. We have 20 rooms reserved – 5 king beds, 15 double beds. This hotel is north of Kansas City, so we will be going against morning rush hour traffic on Monday and only 2.5 hours from Omaha.

For Omaha, we will be staying at the Hampton Inn – Omaha Lakeside. This Hampton Inn has a great 4.5 star Trip Advisor rating with 502 reviews and is ranked the 14th best hotel in Omaha (out of 86 total). We currently have 20 rooms reserved with double queen beds. This hotel is 18 miles from the ballpark. The charter bus will provide transportation to and from the game each day with likely day trip excursions for lunch and local sights.

When registering with Simply A Fan, you can choose between double, triple or quad occupancy for your party, all priced below. Inquire for single occupancy.

updated 6/21 at 2pm
Due to the faithful Vandy Baseball fanbase, we expect demand to be high for this trip. For a group of 40+, transportation will be on a 56 passenger charter bus, hired out by Estes Bus Service. Charter bus includes Wifi and individual charging stations. If demand necessitates, a second charter bus will be on standby. In the event that we do not reach 40 people for the charter bus, transportation for a smaller group will be in 12 passenger vans. Meal and restroom stops will be made along the way.

Update. The first passenger van is FULL.
We are now taking reservations to fill the second passenger van, only 10 spots available. At that time, we will begin the aggressive march to 40 to secure the charter bus.

Cost includes the following:
4 nights lodging (1 night Kansas City, 3 nights Omaha)
Ground transportation Nashville to Omaha
Game tickets to all three games of the Championship Series
A tour guide throughout the trip
An unforgettable baseball adventure!

updated 6/20 at 12pm with lower price range since hotel is secured
Due to the variables that go into this last minute trip we are currently providing a price range for each package until the size of group and mode of transportation is determined. Information will be updated as details are finalized. Only a $100 refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. See “Secure Your Spot” below.
Double Occupancy:  $925 – $1,025 per person
Triple Occupancy:    $820 – $900 per person
Quad Occupancy:     $775 – $850 per person

The championship series is a best two out of three format. If it becomes a two game series with Vanderbilt either winning or losing both of the first two games Monday and Tuesday, the plan will be to return to Nashville on Wednesday instead of Thursday. You will be refunded appropriately for the Game 3 ticket and the fourth night hotel. See “Frequently Asked Questions” below for additional information.

Due to the nature of last-minute planning and logistics that will go into executing this trip to the College World Series, a $100 deposit per person is required to secure your spot. Spots are available on a first come basis and will be slotted accordingly depending on demand and mode of transportation.

Please click on the red “Register” button at the top or bottom of this page to both register and be directed to the online payment option. This $100 deposit will be fully refundable if Vandy does not make it to the Championship Series. This $100 deposit will be applied to your balance if Vandy wins and the trip is confirmed. You will then be invoiced your remaining trip balance. The $100 deposit is non-refundable if the trip occurs and you do not proceed to go on the trip.

What size group is needed in order for this trip to happen?
•  As of Fri 6/21 at 2 p.m., the first passenger van is FULL and confirmed.
•  With a ton of inquires and some people waiting for the Friday night game vs. Louisville, we are now working towards filling the second passenger van. A minimum of 8 more people are necessary. At that time, we will begin the aggressive march to 40 to reach charter bus status.
•  To confirm the charter bus, we need a minimum of 40 people.

When will we know if the trip is confirmed?
As early as after the Friday night 6/21 game. As late as after the Saturday night 6/22 game. Either way, the plan is to depart Nashville on Sunday 6/23 at 9 a.m.

How will we know how many people are confirmed and which mode of transportation is to be expected?
Updates will be sent each day via email as registrations and deposits are received. Your help in promoting and recruiting others will help reach the goal of a charter bus as the preferred method of transportation!

Are meals included in this package?
No meals are included in the package options above. The bus will stop regularly for meals and restroom stops.

Where will our seats be at the ballgames?
The packages quoted above will get you a seated ticket in the ballpark. Upgrades available upon request and as able. Tickets will be purchased once it is confirmed that Vandy has made the championship series.

If I have hotel points / rewards for the hotel we are staying at, can I save money and my trip cost be adjusted?
Yes, we will gladly accommodate if able. You will be responsible for booking your own reward travel. If staying at our accommodations, that would be great, but if staying elsewhere, you will likely be responsible for your own transportation within Omaha.

What if I already have ballgame tickets, can I still ride up with the group from Nashville and use the same hotel?
Yes, we will gladly accommodate and adjust your price accordingly.

What if I have a hotel and tickets, but just really don’t want to drive myself the 1500+ miles roundtrip to Omaha, can I just buy a transportation only package?
Yes, certainly! If you can’t tell, we are very flexible and want to mobilize as many Commodore fans as possible to Omaha to cheer them on in the College World Series. Email me.

What if I need to come home before Thursday, can I still be part of the group?
Yes, you are welcome to take advantage of the transportation on the way to Omaha and will be responsible for arranging your own travel back to Nashville.

What if there is a rainout and the series schedule is pushed back, delaying our return, how will that affect my trip cost?
Know that with unpredictable weather, this is a possibility. The Simply A Fan group will stay until the series is complete, passing along any additional cost. If fans cannot stay longer than planned, Simply A Fan will do its best to help make alternate arrangements.
