Cubs @ Braves
This was the second consecutive season that Simply A Fan has taken a group to Suntrust Park for the Braves Opening Day. This day trip from Nashville arrived in time to have lunch at Dale Murphy’s new restaurant – Murph’s. An easy half-mile walk from the ballpark, it has a great atmosphere honoring the career of this Braves legend who is still revered nearly three decades since his last at bat. Our group was fortunate that Murphy stopped by and kindly met and took pictures with our group! Following lunch, we had our scheduled behind-the-scenes tour of Suntrust Park. Outside the park was festive with the pre-game pep rally along with the “Braves Walk” as they players paraded through The Battery into the right field gate. New Braves Hall of Famer Terry Pendleton through out the ceremonial first pitch and the Braves won 8-0!
